i need to make a website such that it can be accessed through the internet if internet is available otherwise when there is no internet then it should work properly on the local intranet also can this be achieved , i have built my site on php/mysql...

If you have a local web server, why not just host everything from there instead of hosting it elsewhere, and set it up so incoming connections from the outside hit that machine as well .

If you're trying to create a UIAlertView -like effect, I don't think you can do this .

Is there any reason why java booleans take only true or false why not 1 or 0 also?

1 and 0 are integers, and there is no reason to confuse things by making them "alternative true" and "alternative false" (or the other way ... .
Note that these are not strings, but actual boolean literals .
Because booleans have two values: true or false.

We know that in java all classes extends Object. but Object itself is a class in java. so is this class also extends by itself or any other class?
