For ambient Eventide are the best.
I have been listening now to some strymon blue sky demos, this pedal really sounds lush which creates this lovely ambience.

The blue light from the TV tells with ambient noises - I have a ceiling fan and if it makes any sound at all, I can't sleep.
Also try to read before going to sleep and not watching TV .
