Actually kerosene is wonderful stuff, if hot enough and properly mixed
with enough air as
is does have an oiliness about it and yet evaporates leaving a clean
surface (no wax).

I have a 1999 Mercruiser 7.4L engine. The engine overheated due to the manifolds and risers failing which caused water intrusion into the cylinder heads.
I had an upper engine rebuild done - heads rebuilt, new plugs, rotor and distributor cap.

If the thermostat got truly overheated, its wax pellet from harbor freight for about $35 and it is invaluable for helping to pinpoint where high temps are coming it to run hot.

I need to make a part from very firm EPS, I'm hoping to find the really hard stuff, like the type used in bicycle helmets.
I can use sheet, .75" thick, but ideally I would buy a 4" diameter cylinder and slice blanks for machining in the lathe.
