When I build external Fender-style reverb units the tranny I use is basically the same as a champ
the Fender Vibroking (for example) use a 6V6 to drive the reverb, and I think the Fender stand alone
The reverb pan driver transformer is so small! I wonder what the tonal effect would be in going to a beefier transformer ...

I'm looking at possibly purchasing a 100% original '68 Fender Silver Face "Drip Edge" Deluxe Reverb
as the "more desirable" Black Face DRs. That is why these amps are desirable over the later SF models
... specially for the smaller amps. Juust my opinion. The drip edge models have a 'blackface circuit', also

I just got this old Fender Princeton today.
Haven't quite nailed the date yet.
It is one
of the SilverFace amps with the Blackface circuity.
That's for sure. It uses the first revision
black vertical lines on the faceplate and drip-edge around the baffle...Nice!
A favorite amp here

Three years. I don't crank up the amps either since a lot of the sims seem to be pretty good
for the limited guitar stuff I do.
I'm really interested in the IK Multimedia Fender set that just came out
tricks just worked!
I'm still quite happy with my old black faced Vibro Champ and my Boogs, thank
