Sample Chatter Excerpts
Amps or no amps?
I'll agree with you too Gris, but the extent some people go to in pursuit of "perfect tone" gets nearly ridiculous. It isn't that I don't continue tweaking my rig, but at a certain point, it's more for me than an audience. I would never discourage anyone from trying to get the tone they want, but there is no perfect tone.

Will Modeling Amps ever beat tube amps?
I'm not sure if it comes down the closest one wins type of scenario. I use a Johnson Amps J-Station to record some of my guitar tracks and I use one of the four Fender tube amps I own to record other tracks often on the same cd and even the same song. For me it comes down to what I am trying to say musically that dictates my choice.

Do you love your amps more than your guitars?
No, I love my current amps - Marshall and Soultone - but I have a profound connection to my guitars. They feel like part of the family, especially my black Les Paul, which I bought new and has been my main axe for 12 years now.

Why no "buzz" on the new PRS amps?
Not in my pay scale but that would never stop me from admiring. They look ghetto, so many new amps hit the bling and lose me at hello but I am open minded enough to know the box must sound good if Derek Trucks is using them.

Paul Reed Smith Amps what up?
Soon you will find a variety of aftermarket display cases for your new PRS amp, complete with security, lighting, humidity and temperature control. It will look good right under your PRS guitar display case.
