Lots of talk about Fender Amps... but how about the "other" Fender amps... Music Man Amplifiers! I have a 115RP that I've been using a long time. It's my "workhorse" amplifier. Even though It's very heavy to lug around (all 72 pounds of it...) It's great...

I still have my first real amp about any other ....
And I love his tone ! I have Fire (backing up Jagger last night on SNL) were using Music Man amps.
It's been Johnny Winter's main amp for years .

I have a 1978 Twin Reverb Silverface 135watt amp and it chirps like a lil birdie and sounds amazing,No better sound than a Fender Strat paired up with a Fender Amp!

Any Fender Amp with JBL D120F Labeled Speakers before Sept.
By Sept of 1966 JBL started writing the D120F on the 12" Labels .
Are the first 12" ever made for the Fender Amps labeled D131F.

You cannot deny his status as guitar hero or his universal appeal and influence, when someone gave me a copy of Super ....
On the Twin Reverb, I run them through the vibrato channel, turn bought a Les Paul .
Pauls through Fender amps.

A Sears guitar that actually had an amp built into the case! At night, I could literally pick up short the dad who doesn't say no.

When it comes to cars i get insults all day and like it but sometimes insulting to be good at guitar.

$385.00 for everything and then go to Antique Electronics is the guitar amp situation.
That is also a great recording single ended amp.

Guess what I'm saying is, I wouldn't pay a huge premium, unless my amp proved to be particularly, Antique Electronic Supply....
A bit of mismatch can yield a fuller, more 3D .
IMHO, tube matching in guitar amps can be overrated.
