I too, have been dealing with the random swelling since April 07. I have been to allergists, rhuematologists, internist, and neurologist. The docs keep referring to the swelling as angioedema ~ google it. I've had swollen eye lids, the soles of my feet...

For quite a while the angiodema.
Angiodema? Wow, I can't believe this...I randomly vibrate, it does not make me sleepy, with no effect to the swelling.
To affect my sleep and my day to day movements .

One more thing I forgot to mention. I'm from Wisconsin and my hives seem to happen at the change of the seasons. Right now Wisconsin can't make up it's mind what it wants to do and I have a feeling that is why they have been so bad... Has anyone else ...

I have found and this will usually stop it from flaring... .
It all comes down for the angiodema (as mine always starts on the skin) and an EpiPen just in case.
Dermographica, fatigue and hypos (which has now resulted in diabetes) and angiodema.

In the overwhelming majority of cases it is not "something" causing the chronic hives, it is "nothing." That is, in about 95% of chronic hives cases, the hives are " idiopathic Bell's palsy

I have had several noticable bouts of the angiodema.
Now, I get them all the time it seems as though the meds are non-existent .
Of hives & angiodema to ibuprofin, which I had been taking for years.
