I know why one shouldn't do that. But is there way to explain to a layman why this is not possible. You can explain this to a layman easily : Animal animal = new Dog(); . A dog is a kind of animal but a list of dogs is not a list of animals.

There are other books from other publishing companies that don't have animals on the covers.
No idea why they put animals on the covers, but a former professeor of mine said they make good books.

Why are wild animals generally healthy but domestic animals get sick? I was wondering why wild animals generally do not get sick, but domestic/captive animals get sick often and with things rarely seen in there wild relatives?
