There is a scenario. There is an ask-and-answer website. An answerer can modify his answer, and the history of modification is saved on the server. Be default, only the latest version of each answer is displayed.

Perhaps you could have a look at SOClone or Shapado ( sneak peak of a site on Shapado )
It is possible and it may be good idea to create it on a Content Management System (CMS) such as Drupal .
It's not cheap though.

To choose a Best Answer on your own question, starting one hour after you ask the question a "Choose as Best Answer" button will appear under any answers you have received.

I don't count but it does depend on how much time I have and how easy the questions are to answer.

Because you increase your total number of answers....
Simple math.
Best answer (10/100) Then you answer 10 more questions, so now you have 10 best answers and 110 questions answered, so you have a 9% (10/110) best answer.

You could try clicking 'Back' to see if you can go before you chose the answer....
Try selecting my answer as top, then choosing someone else's ;) Unfortunately, once you've chosen a Best Answer you cannot change that.
I don't believe so.
