This virus is currently blocking me from doing anything with the computer it wont let me open my usb to put the download of malware on? how do i get rid of it when i cant do anything?

I am already using antivirus on all our PCs, and, of course, we're behind a firewall. Does anti-spyware software like adaware still provide an additional benefit, or does modern antivirus/firewall software solve this problem?

Anyone have any experience with Windows Defender? Is it a replacement for antivirus software or something else to run alongside?

Quite frankly, if you like Windows Defender, you may want to take a look at Microsoft & spyware....
Considering the update deadline to look else where.
For whatever reason you will be stuck with Windows Defender disabled.
