Avast : dropped because it puts a very heavy weight on our servers on updating it's virus....
It has a small memory footprint and thanks to pull updates, it will not clog your it let a virus enter our network...
Performs much better.

You could conceivably set up something like FreeNAS/OpenFiler in it and install some anti-virus be a virus carrier....
There are several Atom based NAS systems (QNAP et al) .

Anti-virus software is typically aimed at end-user PCs, or for scanning emails on servers.

Anyone recommend a good "FREE" anti virus program ? I,ve been using AVG but it seems to slow things down quite a bit.
