How unusual is it to see a buck in March with hard antlers? Or is this an antlered doe? Date on photo is correct and was in Throckmorton Texas.

does anyone know the rate that coues antlers grow i have heard that a elks antlers can grow up to an inch a day.

What is the best kind of antler for my bone sling idea, because i pretty much abandoned the bone idea because of aesthetics and i think that antler might be a better choice, and not being able to find bones that are suitable for my application of it.

Elk is pretty solid all the way through and strong .

I am making turkey haulers out of old antler and para cord for my son and my ex's older son who I still take hunting and would like to engrave their names in to the pieces of antler. Any ideas on engraving their names? I may also paint in the engraving...

Also use the barrel type cutter and use the edge area on the antler to cut the name into it would make....
Get the carbide cutters for antler.
I have done quite a bit of custom laser engraving .
It especially fits the bone/antler look.

I was reading about whitetail online on wikipedia and it said 1 in 10,000 does will grow antlers. It did say it could be contributed to hermaphroditism. I was curious if anyone has either killed an antlered coues with...

Elk Antler Chews? Has anyone given their dog elk antler chews? I am checking some out to throw in with my dog food order, but was just wondering if anyone has experience with these either good or bad.
My dogs have had no bad reactions to any type of bone...
