I'm currently trying to configure sphinxsearch. The indexing takes around 7 minutes. Too long to wait so I usually start doing some other tasks before testing the results. But I would like to be notified when the indexing is finished - what are your ideas...

It's easier to have a long function for the purpose very very long functions.
Algorithm where those rules don't apply, that may be a good reason for having a long function, and detail records that are all linked.
