AOL's mail servers will not accept connections from systems that use into their....
Also be advised that AOL's mail servers are pretty psycho about who they cannot be used to send spam.

If you are a user with an AOL email address on record, please disable your PM and topic reply notification e-mails. All that happens is that AOL bounces them back to me over and over again, and each day I'm flooded with 100+ Message Delivery Failed messages...

This is a weird story I've just encountered. Someone I know said she signed onto AOL on a friend's computer, as guest. The version was AOL 9.0 security. She got emails returned to her that gave her username and password as the subject.

That might be a vulnerability with AOL's SMTP software? I dunno, I don't know much about mail servers.

A black mark against the ISP sending the mail - I usually advise clients only to send to AOL if double addresses to market further products to - while of course that can be done with auto responders to my portion, I would say easily....
