Also be advised that AOL's mail servers are pretty psycho about who they....
AOL, LLC does than the contents of your mail log.
And by the way, they're also missing out on your email.

After several HUNDRED spam complaints from AOL, and some investigating by the TCH staff, we think we have found out the reason for 90% of the SPAM complaints.
If you use AOL and have your e-mail from your TCH site forwarded...

A spammer harvested his web page email address my site was forwarding to AOL and they reported of only AOL! Any email destination that automatically detects and reports spam is exactly the same about this problem being resolved....

I recently linked my AOL account to my MAC as a POP acc. I realised that an IMAP acc would be better so set that up too. The messages coming in were duplicated so I decided to delete the POP Mailbox on the mac. To my horror-most of my emails were deleted...

First check to see if they're in the wastebasket in your mail, I highly recommend using....
If you deleted them then they are probably gone.
POP emails mean that all emails are transferred from the mail server to your computer.

When someone gives me an email address and it is from AOL I think less of this. Am I some sort of Anti-AOLite? I mean my parents don't even use AOL any more. Please help me with my jaded views.

Hi,
I've implemented everything and checked everything (SPF, DomainKey, DKIM, reverse lookup), and only Gmail is allowing my emails to go to Inbox. Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL are all sending my messages to Spam. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Now, this isn't necessarily the reason AOL/Yahoo/Hotmail are blocking you common anti-spam tactic to lookup....
Sending bulk email (in volumes apparently comparable with the volume from AOL, Earthlink, Google with their mail relay.

I have an aol email and i want to forward all my new emails to my iCloud email.
The problem is that aol seems to not have an option for email forwarding. Does anyone know how i can do that?

I've import contacts from gmail by using gdata api, and is there any apis like that for hotmail/live/Aol ?

I would data using the vobject package.
Yahoo Contact API for Yahoo also exists, but to this date, no AOL contact api.
For Hotmail/Live mail.
