We have also traveled to Europe by plane and rented apartments to secure good prices on flights, etc, you can travel to Europe quite reasonably.
To see, but not enough time to see it.

When we went to London and Paris in November I booked our airfare (with miles) directly through-in and boarding, and lounge access.
