Is it a bad idea for a woman to hike the entire Appalachian trail alone? I really really reeaally want to but my friend told me it'd be a dangerous, stupid thing to do.
I want to go alone, I think it would be a great way to "find myself". Also, what kind...

Wish I could find, there is no need for one on The Trail and it would just get you in trouble with the law..
I've never heard of a crime problem on The Trail.
That kind of depends on you.
