This is a bumper crop year. Again. I still have apples int he freezer from last year, as well as apple sauce and apple butter.

Thus you can easily switch implementations.
According to Joshua Bloch - Effective Java (Item 18; 19), it is always better to use interfaces here .
List is just an interface while ArrayList or LinkedList are implementations .

I found this recipe in one of my old Earth Garden magazines yesterday. ; Earth Garden is like the Mother Earth mag in the US.
