I'm talking about a consumer level router. Does the router itself store any internet history from people connected to the router? Specifically I would like to know about the Apple wireless router but information about any wireless router would be helpful...

You could get access to dns/arp caching on the router, but that wouldn't tell you anything about individual users, and it wouldn't be a real accurate way to tell anything .

I connected my new Apple TV to my network (Arris TG852G Gateway). Connects to Internet fine (Netflix and YouTube work no problem). I should be able to watch video and view other files on my computer with it through iTunes. It only works for a short time...

The Internet works fine with little lag time when loading video from YouTube or Netflix.
If at all possible, connect.
The position of the Apple TV, make sure it's not blocked by anything metal, etc.

I do that but again, I'm really looking.
While it is meant to control the Apple TVs for, but it is better than going to the actual Apple TV.
If you have an iOS device, you can get the Remote app .
