I was expecting the worst after all of LO shots at her 2 month apt but nothing seemed to bother her. Of course initially she was not happy about the shots, but wasn't fussy after or have a fever or anything.

I use Ubuntu and make good use of apt-get. Recently I tried openSUSE and found their equivalent Yast system much slower.
So I was wondering how do the various distro package management systems compare to apt-get? And is there a need for this variety?

apt-get is fast and easy to use; Portage allows detailed might not be "needed" since they're similar to apt....
And is there a need of the managers serve certain goals .
I'm sure there are a few others in use, too .

Ideally I would like something which:
Allowed me to write a reason for installation of a package or a set of packages. Kept track of all changes the installed package made to my system. I would like to see /etc file modifications, user and group changes...

So I have a neurologist apt this morning and my 32 week scan this arvo/ bit of a bummer as got to stay in town ALL day
Neurologist apt is to discuss pos medications I can take whilst breastfeeding and to come up with a plan should the migraines return...

DH and I have lived in the same apt. for 6 years, and we intend to stay here for a while.
I'm at the end of my rope on decorating. We have all new furniture, all new bedding, all new curtains, but that doesn't solve the problem of the chalk white walls...

Yep Apt "Apt Pupilers" I saw the movie first and only read the story later (which I loved - esp all.
I enjoyed it, though the book is better as is virtually always the case .
Worth a look.
