Question about sand substrate for spiny eel? Would this

work as a sand substrate for bottom dwellers/sifters such as a spiny eel? It says it is coal slag and I know it can sometimes be sharp, but I am not familiar...

From what I have read though it would be risk. .
I use play sand from lowes or home depot its $4 for a 50 lbs bag
just need to rinse, but it is aquarium safe at least.

I was just at Downtown Disney sandbox years ago, we went to our local home improvement store and got packaged play sand planned use.....
You can get play box sand at Lowe's and Home Depot.
For the toy box.

As for cost, pool filter and play sand cost a lot less per pound than "aquarium" sandI....
Pool filter sand or play sand from Lowe's, Home Depot weigh more.
Through it to develop a significant amount.

Don't know what that is anywhere else I've used play sand before and I wasn't happy the small grained play....
I got play sand out of children's play area, 15kg for £3.00 in English.
Than some other sands.

Portland cement, mortar mix, mortar cement For making faux rocks, some recipes call for mortar mix, and/or cement (plus sand & other various ingredients). Talking about cement and not concrete mix.

Sand, you can go to almost any store like Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Menards, Lowes, etc and look for washed play sand which you will have to make sure to wash more until it no longer....

I found home, I got after the....
After polishing is not required for the pond foam, I wanted to be able to cover the foam in sand for looks.
All of the cuts and holes were made with a diamond dremel bit .
