How many 1 in. goldfish can fit in a ten gallon fish tank? i have a ten gallon and i had tropical fish but they are just to small and boaring so i have a filter and heater and also what is the best kind of goldfish?

Edit - at 7 years old and only 3" long are common or comet ....
fish as you have, so you see why they need a large tank.
You need one rated for twice the size of your tank as goldfish are very messy fish.

The old tray type wet/dry filter works best with goldfish because you can clean consummate maintenance....
There should be a sump under the tank about equal or larger in water capacity than the tank.
