We've been trying to let more Gaians enjoy the Gaia aquarium and be able to better populate their tanks with more fishes. So we're thinking of putting much more of the current aquarium fishes out in Daily Chance and other features such...

I honestly wouldn't mind having a tank with big eyed guppies free fish....
If this idea is considered, please let is still Aquarium Fish=Booty Grab).
And then exchange it for a aquarium tank fish of that type.

Since 90% of the threads on this forum relate to goldfish or native, I was wondering what other fish there are that do well in unheated tanks.
From what I have read, many barbs and loaches do well, even some cichlids like Geophagus brasiliensis supposedly...

Myxocyprinus is a cool-water fish.
I think the problem is a lot of aquarium fish as soldMany danios and livebearers can deal with cool temps.
And goldfish, which people may not think about.

My goldfish has been at the bottom of its tank for 6 hours? I have two goldfish, they've been under the filter for quite a long time, and they haven't moved, but they still seem to be breathing? it looks like its sleeping but i cant be sure..and its not...

Your tank is "cycling" pleasesome fish float and others sink but they are mostly still alive.
Don't worry.
If he moves hes fine.

Was wondering if anyone here kept fish.. I've just bought a small aquarium setup for cold water fish, and I'm debating another tank containing a nano reef.
Was after any practical hints / advice.
At the minute I'm running the cold tank to treat the water...

Goldfish adding fish to your cold....
How big is your cold water setup? Goldfish need space to be honest and if it's a really small tank you will only be able to keep 2 or 3.
Enough in a large tank which is more forgiving.

There are now fish that are tagged with [lite]. It may be safe to assume that these are the fish versions that do not glow for Booty Grab.

What fish for a 40 gallon aquarium? Ok so here is what I was thinking :
Group one :
2 fantail goldfish
Group two :
6 tiger barbs
Bristlenose Pleco
Group three :
Any ideas ? Like a cichlid or sonething like that ?

Great schooling fish and the bristle nose pleco is a good pick for a bottom feeder putting all of these fish in one tank, just say so or we think you have 3 40 gallon tanks, pleasei would go With group....

Ryukins and....
Goldfish can survive at a wide rang of temperatures but do best at lower temperatures below 72F.
Placing them in a warm tank will cause them to produce more wasteRoom temperature is fine.
But they are not tropical fish.
