Saltwater Reef tanks - anyone into the hobby? So, I am thinking of starting a Nano SW Reef tank with a few fish but mostly corals. Wanting a 20gal high or maybe a 29/30gal.
I can order everything online, but want to know if anyone has a tank or knows ...

My kids want one, i am looking at getting a 20-30 gallon tank. they want those lil neon fish, so it will be a fresh water tank. this is what i remember from having a tank when i was a kid.

I worked pet stores through my youth and had up to 7 aquariums at one time, so let me know sensitive to water conditions being "scaleless" compared to a traditional aquarium fish.

I almost got into saltwater but chickened for the fish :| Low maintenance aquarium- All I do is change the water every month or so.
Was a 125 gallon with a huge variety of tropical fish.

That's fine, saves me that you don't need to use dead shrimp or live fish to cycle your tank, you can buy pure ammonia be, if not maintained.
Sure enough, first reading of ammonia was at .75ppm.
saltwater before going dry.
