If you omit new {area controller within the current ....
So new {area = ""} is not telling the Url.Action call that there is no area, it's telling it to use the root area .
Url actions are relative to the location of the link .

You can store the usernames and passwords in a database or code it directly in your php-code .
I recommend using sessions to check if the user logged in with a valid username and password .
There are plenty of ways you could achieve this.

Hello, I have a question dealing with UIButton and it's hit area. I am using the Info Dark button in interface builder, but I am finding that the hit area is not large enough for some people's fingers.

From there you have the highlighted property to NO.
Resize the custom button to the size you want the hit area to be.
You will manually have to deal with selected & highlighted states info button .
But with a bigger touch area.

If you need a larger area, you have to make the element larger.
Basically, the area that the "link" element occupies is the clickable area.
But determined by the layout information (in html or css) .

You had to use D&D mechanism....
There is class called DataFlavor.
According to your justification is is not simple, but it can be managed .
JS is sandboxed in the browser and can't interact with anything outside .
You won't be able to do this with JavaScript.
