Soo far I know it ranges from 500 in Pyrrhus' army to a few thousand in others, theyre were plenty slingers in the Battle of Cynocephalae on both the macedonian and roman armies, and in Pyrrhus of Epirus' army. I dont know the numbers in other forces....
