Over the summer I read a series of stories about Arsene Lupin the gentleman burglar and in some of the stories Holmes is featured and defeated by Lupin. In my opinion Lupin is Holmes' greatest archenemy.
So who do you like more Holmes or Lupin?

Lupin is also French and thus is a very reasonable....
Check Doyle didn't like it because Lupin always defeated Holmes.
Similar to Arsene Lupin (more so than Holmes I think) I thought, was Simon Templar (The Saint).
