Anybody else have a concern about what appears to be asbestos tiles lining the engine room of trawlers?? Especially Taiwan boats. Obviously I will get it tested to find if it is inded asbestos but if it is it may be a costly matter with health consequences...

Certainly more than the one hour per though, use HSE asbestos essentials as a starting point though (A30) and develop the SSoW and risk assessment required by HSE for non-licensed....

What type of survey did you have? and where is the asbestos located? I haven't had a survey carried out yet.

Unit is build circa 70s. The wall has an uneven texture. I am not sure whether this is the style or paint.

If you plan to remove it, or if it is friable, I recommend you that on ductwork too and turn out to be asbestos.
