If you want to really travel, your best bet is probably to save up and do a big backpacking trip to spend three days....
Many of the traveling-types save up money over the course of the year and then travel all over Asia.

About the money, well, it depends.
I'm a natural advocate for Asia in the travel rat, I think the most practical thing to do is to work first, and then travel later on.
3000 euros for 2 months (again-basic,not luxury).
