Your troubles will begin when you try to board a flight to Japan if you don't have a ticket out of Japan....
If you don't have this, and the immigration person is having a bad hair day, he / she can deny you entry .

Ah ok parts...and nowhere near enough in Singapore or Japan.
Presumably you'll have a flight out Singapore? That should suffice as onward travel proof.

If you want to really travel, your best bet is probably to save up and do a big backpacking trip to spend three days....
Many of the traveling-types save up money over the course of the year and then travel all over Asia.
