So, as the title suggests, I'm Asian-American. An Over-Represented-Minority. The thing is, studies have shown that an Asian who gets an SAT score of 1600/1600 has the same chance at a school as a Black/ African-American who scores 1150/1600.

Is Karate in the western world really watered down in comparison to how it is taught in Asian countries? The system of training in Asian counties seems much tougher and harder. You won't see just anybody getting a black belt, they EARN it .
