In my experience, audio crackles when the computer has so much going on behind the scenes that it cannot....
You've disabled the internal audio card, and have tried both of the interfaces on another computer, just citing my experience.

I have an HP Pavillion zd8205us. There's no audio drivers listed under this computer on HPs website. I tried to use the audio driver from other models in the Pavillion zd series, but they didn't work.
Any ideas on where I can find this driver?
