Look at the fs (resonant frequency spec) of pro speakers, where a car audio sub would loud, pro audio is the way to go.

Well i just installed about 1000 watts RMS and tested it with my car running. worked for about 30 seconds then subs stopped and deck dimmed all the way out. and now my car wont start.

Get a new one, its good to do this....
Most likely the battery.
Give it a jump and check your sub wiring.
I found out later that I had the sub hooked up incorrectly and the amp was draining my battery .
I had this happen to me, sounds like a drained battery .
