I have never blown a driver in any of my speakers... .
A/V receivers, in general, are lacking in the amplifier section .
I haven't blown any speakers....Ininfinity (RS-IIIa's & Quantum 3's) or otherwise but I use separates on all my speakers and not A/V receivers .

I been using my Sony XDR-F1HD, it fits nicely where I use it space wise and pulls in the stations .

Yamaha only can understand PCM.
I have no idea.What does the owners manual say? Fios box is likely sends signal in Dolby Digital mode .

My KM-60 is the best tuner in my house and I live in a FM black hole .

Your setup is well worth the effort to get it all right .
KM60 is a fantastic tuner when it's in good operating order .
