I have been with Magnepan....
Very nice.
It was all black.
The audio was either a Linn system or Tandberg.
MGc's.
I eventually got my 1st set in the early 90's .
Early Eighties in late middle school, 8th grade or so:
Some sort of Magnepan, probably a Tympani .

With all the members of the AC, I have no doubt that many also enjoy the benefits of an Audiophile System in one or more of they're vehicles and it would be a great reference to know what you have.

Am I correct to assume that this fits in the stock speaker mount without modifying the door? from what I read on forums - yes, ones are 5x7" and the others 6x8", which afaik have the same mount locations, and when you browse audio stores on many 5x7 and... .

IMHO its not always....
You go on to complain about on the gear.
Difference between the music lover (as you picture them) and an audiophile is the amount of money spent concerned that makes me a music lover who also happens to be an audiophile.
