I have an audition for a covers band next week. Given that there are at least 7 songs on the band's setlist that I know, I thought that would suffice. So, I said that I'd prefer not to have to learn any new songs for the audition. This has not gone down...

My teacher told me that some orchestras audition anyone that shows up rather than picking folks from a list of resumes to audition. Does anyone know which ones do this? He told me that even if you don't get the job, but make it pass several rounds that...

With the Manager of Auditions and Orchestra Personnel for The Chicago Symphony that they do indeed allow the local union will get you into auditions with local groups as well.
