Should I play NFL or Aussie Rules? I'm australian, but have a massive interest in NFL, and Aussie Rules (AFL). Here are my qualities that would work:

I came accross some info that had the 6 football codes participation around the world figures from 2006. It also said the number of countries the sport had a significant numbers playing the sport. Just thought I would share it to see what everyone thinks...

You need to be able to have great leg strength... .
You need to be able to run and sprint for duration of 3 hours with quarterly breaks and interchange in between .
They require you to be absolutely athletic and super fit .
I'd say physically it is real tough.

Only thing this past season, Geelong cut down on handball and went to more long kicking, and won the premiership .

It's usually a 1 hour session of training drills. If the kids are lucky they'll play a 15 minute non contact game of kick to kick at the end.
Anyone who tells you otherwise should be rightly shouted down.

Yes that would be a fairer assessment.
It was a modified game one a very short ground and mostly non contact but it was basically a game of touch AFL .
My kids played Ozkick at primary school for a bit and thats not what they played .

Awesome game. It's more like soccer in that it doesn't stop and start all the time. It doesn't make me want to shoot myself in the head like Gridion and Rubgy do. It's the 3rd most popular sport in the world by number of spectators by professional game...
