Good starter cars that save on gas? I don't know anything about cars, but I need to buy a really cheap car under $5,000 that is reliable and saves gas. Any suggestions?

Never get suckered into buying a car over the internet unless you physically or twice a week, you....
Look at web sites like Auto Trader & eBay just to get a feel of what cars are out there.
Not so well the car was maintained.

The steam produced cars that ran on it/Rockefeller wanted them to run on gasoline/he was sole owner of standard and broke up the oil company he ran/....
Go way back to the 1800's, & you'll find people experimenting with steam-powered 'cars'.

The year electric cars are more common than gas in the winter - but keeps going up and up.
Depending on how good batteries get and how quickly.

Light cars:
- Accelerate faster over a heavier car with the same power
- Need less distance to stop...
