As far as I know:
Light cars:
- Accelerate faster over a heavier car with the same power
- Need less distance to stop...

So basically, that sums it up. I drove home after getting the low fuel light (16 Miles), stopped at my Mom's (a mile out of my route home) and drove straight to the gas station (.5 miles away from my house).
