02 Honda CRV with 109,000 miles. The ride is getting pretty harsh and I was thinking it might be time for new struts. I have read up on it in the manual and have seen it done on you tube and it looks like something I could handle myself. I have priced...

You're right the old crv seems in 4 yrs, 54 000 year one - only repair I had to do was to replace fuel tank cap and re-align.

I am in the process of changing out the timing belts on our daughter's 2005 KIA Optima 2.4L LX. There are several teeth missing and I hope the valves haven't hit the pistons yet. I am finding a wide price range with the belt kits, they range from $115...

Is the kia nice? How long are you going to keep it? Considered all of those factors, but those parts should be better than whats on the car .
Those are brand name aftermarket parts, that being said there is no substitute for oem parts .
I have a Murray lawn tractor with a Briggs and stratton engine. When I turn the ignition, the starter gear spins, but does not engage the flywheel to start the engine. Do I need a new starter, or is it something else. Thanks

Not quite automotive. I have a Murray lawn tractor with a 17 HP engine and a hydrostatic drive. When under load, such as pulling a dethatcher, the drive belt slips and the tractor won't move. I was wondering if it might be a belt issue or a transmission...

I have an '03 Honda Civic with ~63K. It's new to me, I've had it only a few weeks, I've probably put about 700 miles on it. I noticed that when I start out in the morning the past few days (it's been rainy), I'll get a nasty "shudder", shakes the whole...

repair if it breaks on my ride into work this morning? It's a gamble I suppose.
Hi. My check engine light came on yesterday. The codes are P0139 (downstream oxygen censor circuit, slow response) and P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold). Here is what I am thinking about doing. I want to replace the oxygen censor and ...

Car headlights tend to get hazy over time. I have hand sanded then buffed mine using a 1/3hp bench unit with a buffing wheel. Some headlights, however, are not easily removed. What is the least expensive alternative for buffing using a corded hand drill...

Never used them though.
$7 or $8 all the way up to near $30, for the drill one .
Some are even meant to atttach onto a drill, but are more expensive than the hand kits .
I've seen headlight buffing kits at auto stores.
Most likely they are 235/65-17's that you could pick up a new one for $130. I would say if your selling it private party replace the tire buy if your going through a dealership a don't bother with it. Don't let them low ball you though, know what your...

If it has all 4 new tires they say "oh that doesn't add to the value", if it has 4 bald tires they say "oh that devalues the cars value so we have to give you less... .
They twist it around no matter what the car has .
