You're right the old crv seems in 4 yrs, 54 000 year one - only repair I had to do was to replace fuel tank cap and re-align.
How come that V is so beat up?

Is the kia nice? How long are you going to keep it? Considered all of those factors, but those parts should be better than whats on the car .
Those are brand name aftermarket parts, that being said there is no substitute for oem parts .

I have a Murray lawn tractor with a Briggs and stratton engine. When I turn the ignition, the starter gear spins, but does not engage the flywheel to start the engine. Do I need a new starter, or is it something else.

With a screwdriver, or whatever you can get in there, try manually extending the gear on the starter a few times, and then try it... .
Replace it...
If that don't work,...
Take it apart, 'n clean it, then lube it...
It could just be boogered up...

Not quite automotive. I have a Murray lawn tractor with a 17 HP engine and a hydrostatic drive. When under load, such as pulling a dethatcher, the drive belt slips and the tractor won't move. I was wondering if it might be a belt issue or a transmission...

$7 or $8 all the way up to near $30, for the drill one .
Some are even meant to atttach onto a drill, but are more expensive than the hand kits .
