A word on that..I had another auto the way...didn't engage safety, didn't use the clip and put in with my car keys.
Neither have a safety and I like that.
And locks up tight.

I have a gen 1 box that I'm going to hook up soon. My mechanic asked if we can do away with the MAF? I know you said that it needs to be hooked up for the tranny shift points, but I actually did and auto to manual swap so would I still need it hooked ...

The car is still using an auto ecu thoughIf you have a manual conversion on your car you can ditch the MAF.
And I want to clarify that the car was auto but now manual.

Per 67 wiring diagram,there is no plw wire,just pl wire to starter.Also 67 autos have plug under I swapped an auto into a manual Camaro - and that was a TH400 to replace a Muncie 3-speed.

When in one accident, the car can be totalled. Seems like a waste to me.

Hiya!
Can anyone recommend a good car mechanic or garage for regular servicing around the area? I suppose ideally around the ballycoolin / mulhuddart / bcp areas, if there's any.

What has allowed car transmissions to increase their number of gears so much recently? My Dodge Intrepid from '99 has four gears, whereas a new Chrysler 300 has an eight-speed transmission. Many other automatics have six or more gears now as well.
