Sorry to have this post so soon after the recently posted car question.
But in 9 months my wife and I become fully retired. We may need a new or different car.
If we pay for it out of our retirement funds it is a killer to the 4% range of withdrawal rate...

The wife has a 2003 impala with about 110k.

The key is to get a new car undercoated when new and keep on top of it BEFORE the rust starts.

I have two ideas that may make our cars / autos better
first one, buy with cash or gold, so lets say the car is 8000 gold, give us the option to buy it for like 500 gaia cash
that way more people could buy multiple cars and choose how to pay for it like...
