Just restrict changes to the font and page setup and it should be fine .
To locate normal.dot, you can likely to corrupt.
Customizations such as toolbars, AutoText and so on, that you want to salvage.

Is: ~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-2.2/user/autotext where ~ is the user's home directory want them later.
