I uninstalled mcafee total protection 2008 because it was about to expire. And I installed avast Home edition.
Is avast enough for my PC or I have to install few more softwares to completely protect my PC.

Its kinda low on resources( much lower than McAffee & Symantec can install Spy Bot... .
I had tried Avast.
The above (Avast+SpyBot+ZoneAlarm are a bit careful).
They will complement Avast in areas it does not cover.
Such as ZoneAlarm.

Hello...
I would like to report that avast 6 conflicts with netbalancer. Netbalancer can't limit the bandwidth of any application if I use avast 6, but not if i use avast 5.

I had to drop it.
I could not manage it with avast 6 and K9.
NetBalancer has invoked BSODs in my computer some months ago .

It reappears when I rerun from program menu - but when appears and then Avast tray icon....
Seconds later the avast icon disappeared.
Then the red ball icon appeared next to the avast icon.
Popup appeared announcing definitions updated.
