Hi.
I'm a new owner of a used AW1600. I plan to use it in synchro with a Yamaha Motif XS8, to record a few audio tracks.
I tought it would be all silent, since it don't have a fan, but the HD (?) seems to makes a little continuous noise. It's amplified...

I will post my experience sync beetween XS8 and AW1600" Samsung IDE, and an 2.5 to 3.5 adapter....
(I will also try to use the AW1600 to record my synth and guitars your stay...

A more electrical song.
Guitar sounds from my Blade Tele via an Adrenalinn II. Two percussion tracks, bass (Yamahaha), piano, organ, and so on. All done on the AW1600 stand-alone recorder. No computer trickery whatsoever.

I got fed up with my old G and bought a aw1600 ( I want drive.) Anyhow I tried to see if backup disks from my G would load onto my new aw1600.
Moving right along here.

My AW1600 has to go (need the finances), and I am selling it for $400. This is for the AW1600 (with very low mileage), the original manual and a padded, Gator Gig Bag that I had bought for it. The unit will be put in use, tonight...

I loaded the file from the AW1600 cd and just can't seem to get it working and has the midi interface on the sound/....
I've wanted to use aw1600 for controlling faders so I can better automate mixes etc.

I just bought a aw1600 on ebay and i´m so far quite happy with it.

When starting the aw1600 and pressing the utility-knob it says "boot os = ver 1.01". so i used the update-procedures to update the firmware to ver 1.13.

If you had an earlier....
It appears you already have the latest, 1.13, from what the screen said .
So, it's the Firmware OS version that is what is important .
The boot OS is what loads the AW operating system (Firmware OS) from the hard drive when powering up .
