I breastfed my son for the first year, used a baby sling a lot if any parent, biological or not, cuddles a baby and makes it feel secure, then they can't go wrong practising Attachment Parenting....

If the baby is healthy, the parents are happy to leave him and trust the people who are....
You feel the baby's not being properly cared for and could be at risk then I fail to see what not something I would do, but its not unheard of.
