I breastfed my son for the first year, used a baby sling a lot if any parent, biological or not, cuddles a baby and makes it feel secure, then they can't go wrong practising Attachment Parenting....
I wish every parent did it.

I was chatting to a friend who was talking about someone he knows calling their toddler their baby. He apparently told her that this just stupid and that her toddler is not a baby and to stop calling them so, that the toddler is a child.

Parents,
Do you raise your babies and toddlers by the book, or do you use a more freestyle approach?
This could be in terms of what they eat and drink, how to reprimand them, etc.
I've seen a few moms go by the book and religiously following everythign...

I'm just curious what others think about some of the examples of extreme or attachment parenting that have popped up in the news lately - from women chewing food for their child and feeding it to them mouth to mouth, to parents having all their children...

If the baby is healthy, the parents are happy to leave him and trust the people who are....
You feel the baby's not being properly cared for and could be at risk then I fail to see what not something I would do, but its not unheard of.
