I know this topic has been covered a lot on CB but I just moved to San Diego and I cannot believe how many merchants ask for ID here for cc & debit purchases. It's like a normal way of doing business. From the large chains...

I never had a "badge", only a warrant card, yanks have badges I think warrant card.
