Silly question but i noticed that baggage insurance was optional ! how important is it to have ?

I was wondering this as well and like what does the baggage insurance include if you do opt in for it? I wouldn't bother (and in fact, i haven't), the only time your likely to lose your luggage is at the airport, and unless you walk off without....

How strict are airlines with checked baggage? Edit : Title fail, it should be cabin baggage not checked baggage.
I travel frequently but only ever with a backpack. Tomorrow I'm traveling with one of those little wheelie bags AND my laptop in a backpack...

I'm pretty sure your backpack would constitute hand luggage which you carry with you,
and your wheelie bag would be your actual luggage, which will be kept elsewhere .

I've lost 2 guns that way over the years.
Don't expect to see it on the other side.
They'll make you put it in a separate case, clearly labeled hangun! with red danger signs on it .

When it comes to Ryanair, either pay the 15 euros or fly someone else (I often find they're not the cheapest option and they also fly to airports often nowhere near your final destination) .
