Are they interchangeable? If a recipe calls for baking soda, and I use baking powder, will I die?
for 1 teaspoon commercial baking powder: 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 grams) baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon cream
of tartar plus 1/4 teaspoon of cornstarch or 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 grams) baking soda plus 1/2 cup
baking powder baking soda.

I don't have a sifter. When the recipe calls for sifting dry ingredients like flour, baking powder
to shake all flour, etc.from the sifter and store in a bag. Happy baking !! you can use a wire whip
up by stirring or mixing. This includes things like baking soda, which also happens to taste terrible
