And yes the flats are comfortable if they fit right .
But yes it's like a leotard for you to dance in it.
Won't need to wear a tutu for a while if you're just starting out.

And yes, that's Dani's tutu pattern as a base...
To be a more 'romantic' style skirt in the softness and drape but shorter than a standard tutu.

She's been be much handier Mine started ballet at age 6, so older than your DD.
Its a mix of modern, hip hop and ballet.
