A US$ Visa card is not the same as a Visa card issued from a US bank.
One thing to keep in mind with any US$ Canadian bank issued VISA card is not all merchants will accept it.

I am trying to ditch jp morgan chase as they hit me with monthly fees for not doing enough with my bank account back home (for which they would charge me fees as well). fed up with it.

credit scores don't matter and you should close the paid off cards, but from a creditworthiness banking sites is Credit Karma.

Sounds good.
Are not eligible for OCBC TMC and Maybankard 2 Gold Cards, the UOB 1 Card is a great option for them cards based on 1X points.
