To all versions excluding home basic (as this is being phased out for mainstream markets).

You can and should download the latest drivers for your printer if they are available .

I would print out the start/end values and determine from that what's wrong .
I suspect (without further info) that you're running off the end of your string during
line.substring(start, end);
and so your boundary conditions aren't right .
